Qualifications
• Educated to degree level or equivalent.
• Management/Professional qualification e.g. IOB, RICS or equivalent qualification.
• Membership of a relevant Professional body.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
Experience
Senior management experience, preferably within social housing, to include:
• Managing staff
• Managing budgets
• Strategic planning and implementation

• Communicating effectively and appropriately in writing and orally across all levels both internally and externally
Technical Skills
• Knowledge of government policy regarding social housing and decent homes.
• Tendering and evaluation of partnership contracts, followed by quality assurance of arrangements and activity.
• Modern methods of procurement including OJEU procedures.
• Performance monitoring techniques.
• Housing legislation with particular reference to repairs, maintenance and programmed works.
• Construction processes.
• Developing strategies for maintenance, environment, local regeneration and employment.

• Public sector procedures, processes and sensitivities.
• Managing and controlling budgets.
• Processing and analysing complex data.
• Effective chairmanship of meetings.
